TOUR (European Tourism Research Institute) at the Mid Sweden University is a research institute engaged in the development and transfer of knowledge of tourism and travel.
ETOUR was established in 1997 by the Swedish Tourist Authority, the Swedish Travel and Tourist Association and the Mid Sweden University. Between 1997 and 2004 ETOUR was financed by the EU Structural Funds and national co-financers, such as the Ministry of Industry, the County Administration Board and the Mistra Foundation.

Utredning om terror och turism
- De grundläggande orsakerna till våld mot turister går att finna inom djupt rotade sociala och politiska motiv, men genom lämpliga åtgärder från offentlig sektor och turistindustrin är det möjligt att minska deras förekomst och minimera dess negativa effekter. Strategier för krishantering kommer att bli allt viktigare för många turistmål i framtiden.
