Per Cramér is the new Dean of the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. He is a professor of international law, and has worked at the School of Business, Economics and Law since the mid-1990s. Since July 2009, he has also been Vice-Dean, and hence the Dean’s deputy.

“I will be embarking on my new role as Dean of the School of Business, Economics and Law with a combination of humility and enthusiasm,” says Professor Cramér. “The School of Business, Economics and Law has experienced fantastic growth under the leadership of my predecessor Rolf Wolff, and we will now continue working on internationalisation and quality development in close partnership with industry and the public sector, in order to become one of the most respected and best-known business schools in Europe.”

Professor Cramér’s research focuses on international law and European integration law, specialising in the regulations that govern the EU’s relationships with the rest of the world. Over the course of the last four years he has led an extensive research project relating to responsibility for dealing with spent nuclear fuel.

As a director of studies and member of teaching staff, Professor Cramér has played an active part in developing the School of Business, Economics and Law’s law programme, which is now one of Sweden’s most sought-after law courses.
