Facts about Stockholm Bioethics Centre:
Tamburrini och Tännsjö are both working at Stockholm Bioethics Centre (lead by Tännsjö). The Stockholm Bioethics Centre is an integral part of the Department of Philosophy, Stockholm University. Its mission is research, teaching and contributing to public debate on the most important bioethical issues of today. Studies in bioethics at the centre are undertaken from a philosophical perspective, and involve both research and teaching.
The centre has just initiated a joint EU-research project on human enhancement. In Stockholm philosophical aspects of physical enhancement (in sport) will be discussed, in Oxford the enhancement of cognitive capacities, in Maastricht the enhancement of mood, and in Milan, philosophical questions to do with the enhancement of the human life span will be addressed.
